The Story

When Quintin first asked me to participate in this project it seemed like a fun, frivolous things to do; like sneaking out of the office for cocktails with a girlfriend in the middle of a work day.
But as the day approached and I began discussing it with my friends and reflected on what I was getting myself into, the act of posing for a nude photo shoot became quite symbolic….
This project presented me with the perfect little full stop I was looking for, to signify the end of a period of isolation, introspection, self doubt and recrimination. A period in which I realised how closed off to the world I had become.
It also offered me the Capital letter for the next paragraph…one which describes, a life that is just a little more connected, more open, more courageous, more honest.
I am on a path of discovery – in trying to connect with myself, I wonder if I will like what I had found, when I had found it.

This project is just one small piece of this journey.

And apart from all the serious heart felt stuff, it’s my one delicious little secret that I will share with my daughter when she is older, to remind her, that Mom is not just about cautions and jobs and rules…
